The only reason why you would reopen a case or release photos which were evidence in a case is to go after someone else who has not been prosecuted. Obama stated that he did not feel any specific reason which can add to the case by releasing the photos. However, the torture memos and the notification of it was in their hands and authority. They are using Congress and retaliating for what they feel was Reagan's defiance on Congress. So to reopen a case you must specify a new person and a further prosecution case to either vindicate or implicate someone else. The torture memos are going to be a massive issue so it is best to just release that and not imply no one or someone can be damaged.
Everyone is finger pointing and Rush said it is time to pin medals on everyone. The FBI said what they saw resembled or was close to torture. The CIA said they had notified Congress over 40 times. Now Congress is saying they want to give orders but cannot be blamed nor seeks any advice. Somebody has to call the shots and make the decision. Pelosi said CIA lied and I do not believe politicians on the left. I think Congress keeps meddling and trying to punish CIA and FBI and now; they are in major trouble; and getting worse over the economy. Right now they are all taking ownership of satellite warfare and my life so it is not as if they know what they are doing. But then I do not work for the government. I am a former employee and now an instructor. This thing is going to blow up sooner or later. It is time to debate Congress, the CIA, and the Pentagon; it is too big to ignore.
